UPCOMING MISADVENTURES
You've loved "The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude" and "Babes in Bucksnort". Perhaps you are wondering where I will take you next. Let me give you a taste. In my article, Looking Forward to More Sister Mary Olga, I tell you about the next book in the series, "Have A Heart." The action doesn't stop there. I have written a total of eleven books in the series.
The surprise that will come after "Have A Heart" is that I will take you on a journey back in time. That journey will begin when Sister Mary Olga is a girl of fifteen. You'll meet her ardently Baptist parents who will become shocked when Mary Olga decides to become a Catholic.
You'll meet the young Priscilla Bunhead and Martha Mayhem. You will learn how they became arch enemies when Priscilla stole Martha's boyfriend, Crabby Crandall. That happened after Martha was caught in a compromising situation with Crabby and was grounded by her parents.
The young Father Cowberries went by the name of Tiger. As a child, Martha was his very strict babysitter. Martha was very fond of applying a rubber spatula to Tiger's rear end whenever he acted up. Such was often the case.
One day, Tiger scored a real coup when he was walking through the Crandall apple orchard. He found Martha and Crabby engaged in behavior most unbecoming to a Baptist. There, in the midst of the orchard, the two teens were rolling in the clover with their clothes in a pile beside them.
Tiger realized he had a chance to get even with Martha. He stealthily approached the unsuspecting, copulating couple and he stole their clothes. The nude teens were no match for Tiger. Tiger raced off to the Mayhem home where he displayed Martha's panties to her horrified mother.
That was the day Martha became grounded. Soon thereafter, Crabby was looking for a new conquest. He thought he had found that in the buxom Priscilla Bunhead. Unfortunately or not for Crabby, he never had the chance to discover Priscilla's little secret. Her large bosom was a lie. Prissy paraded around pom-poms that were really just falsies.
She also was a prude. Crabby never got past first base with Prissy. Of course, Martha never knew that for sure, but she was sure to wreak her revenge upon Prissy when she got a chance. Martha was in her full glory on the night that she invited the neighborhood teen boys to Prissy's pool. That's when the boys encountered a very surprised Prissy in a most uncompromising situation. Frolicking nude in the pool, she was exposed as the flat-chested girl she really was.
You may remember this story from "The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude". You will learn many of the past secrets of the residents of Dinkledorf Drive as you dive into this first prequel. You will soon come to learn of Mother Carmen Burana's sordid past as a streetwalker. You will meet the workers at the Best Little Whorehouse on the Prairie. You will be treated to one tantalizing nugget after another that will keep you in stitches of laughter.
Spread the word about my first two books. Their success if paramount in order to bring you the next nine books in the series. In the meantime, I will keep on writing. I want to tickle every funny bone in your bodies.

SOMETHING GOOD YOUR WAY COMES
I am the author of a series of books, designed to tickle your funny bone. What could be more precious than the gift of laughter? This is what I offer to you, sprinkled with a dose of good loving.
My irreverent nun, Sister Mary Olga Fortitude, spins tales of the delightfully zany characters of Bucksnort, Wisconsin. She does so while taking snorts of bourbon and sending smoke signals up to God from her trustworthy Marlboros. Sister Mary Olga is a character! So are the other personalities contained within my books.
You'll meet the Reverend Mother who is a reformed prostitute. You'll meet the gay cowboy chef who is a self-described sex maniac. You'll meet the town prude and busybody, Priscilla Bunhead, who is always looking for a dose of dirt to dish up. She finds plenty of that among the residents of Dinkledorf Drive.
Start your journey with "The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude". Then continue to laugh your pants off with "Babes in Bucksnort". My outrageous characters are meant to purely entertain, though you will encounter nuggets of wisdom along the way.
The characters are as diverse as all the colors of the rainbow. Their names are names you've never heard of before. There are Lula Mae Bunsaplenty and Jules Jesslike Pappas. There are Baby Burpee and Junior Rathbone. There are Lilliliver Lipstick and her timid husband, Abner Snatchasnitch. Their behaviors will keep you in stitches of laughter, though they might just illuminate you to your own behaviors that could use a tweak in a more positive direction.
Read the rave reviews on Amazon.com where you can also purchase the books. They are now available in both paperback and Kindle format. Buy them both and get free shipping and handling.
Just bring along your sense of humor and prepare yourself for non-stop laughs.

EXCERPT FROM BABES IN BUCKSNORT
Dr. Wally Wacky-Wacko had the unfortunate habit of not keeping good track of his appointments. He didn't have a secretary and the truth of the matter was that he couldn't very well afford one. He didn't exactly have a thriving practice.
Dr. Wally had just finished eating a very potent marijuana brownie for breakfast when the doorbell rang. He didn't have a clue as to who would be calling on him on his day off. He exclaimed out loud to himself, “Whoa! I'd better get my act together!” Then he went to answer the door.
When he opened the door, there before him stood Sister Eileen and Sister Samantha. His eyes bugged out from behind his gold-rimmed granny glasses when he saw them standing there in their black habits. That's when he exclaimed, “What a rush!”
Now! Sister Samantha was rather worldly from her former days, having lived in a gay man's world where she'd been a successful female impersonator. She knew exactly what Dr. Wally had been up to, but she chose to respond by saying, “Yes indeed! We need help immediately!”
The middle-aged man who still looked like a little boy had eyes as big as saucers. He was dressed in faded blue jeans and a fraying plaid flannel shirt. He simply stood before them in a confused daze. He grabbed onto his long, curly, salt and pepper hair that was tied back in a ponytail. For a moment he just stared at them as if he was going to say, “Duh.” Then he took a dizzying step backward as he said, “Ah yes! Won't you come in?”
They entered his home and they followed him into his office which looked as if it hadn't been dusted in two months. His desk was buried beneath piles of paper. The same was the case with a long black leather couch which lay beside a bookshelf that appeared as if it could topple over at any moment. If that would have become the case, it would have pulled down a network of cobwebs just before it would have soundly squished Sister Eileen if she was to have lain upon it.
Dr. Wally just stood in the middle of the room as if he was spellbound. Then he went to the couch and he unceremoniously swept the stacks of paper onto the floor. Finally he turned and gave them an impish smile as he said, “I'm not used to treating two people at the same time. I'm afraid that you'll just have to lie side by side.”
Now Sister Samantha wasn't one to mince words. She declared, “Are you out of your mind? Nuns aren't allowed to lie down together! God only knows where that could lead us! Besides, I'm not the one who needs help! I'll just sit in a chair.”
Then Sister Samantha strolled over to a nearby seat where she picked up a pile of papers. She set them down on the floor as a cloud of dust whirled out of that pile, nearly choking her in the process. As Sister Samantha took her seat, Sister Eileen tried to make her way over the disarray of papers beside the couch without falling. Then she lay down while the doctor sat behind his cluttered desk where he tried to peer at her over the piles of paper that were on it.
“So,” he began. “Just exactly what is the problem?”
Poor Sister Eileen couldn't even see the doctor so Sister Samantha decided to take the bull by the horns. She said, “Sister Eileen hasn't been herself lately. The poor woman can barely put a sentence together and, when she does, she only begins to cry.”
“Ah!” exclaimed the doctor. “I know exactly what to do!” With that said, he fumbled around within his desk drawer and he pulled out three bottles. Then he emptied the contents onto his desk whereupon half of the pills fell onto the floor. “Oops!” he said. Bending over, he picked up the pills one at a time. All the while, each and every one of those pills seemed to mesmerize him. Finally he was ready to continue. “Okay,” he said as he began to pile the pills into an empty bottle. “I want you to take each of these pills three times a day. You should be back to yourself in no time!”
“But doctor,” interjected Sister Samantha. “How's she going to be able to tell the pills apart if they're all in the same bottle?”
“Oh, that's easy,” replied the doctor who held up the bottle for Sister Samantha's inspection. “Each of the pills is a different color.” Then he smiled to himself as he continued to stare at the pills before he exclaimed, “Aren't they beautiful!” Sister Samantha simply rolled her eyes.
Now it was time to go. Poor Sister Eileen struggled to get off the couch while Sister Samantha reached for the bottle. As they made their way out of the shamble of the doctor's office, he opened another desk drawer. With a big smile of anticipation upon his face he pulled out another brownie. He'd need to calm his nerves in case another patient showed up later that day.
When the next evening rolled around, I wondered where Sister Eileen could have been. Randy Cowboy had already dished us up steaming bowls of stew and she was nowhere to be seen. Then I noticed the good sister staggering into the room. Her eyes looked like a couple of glazed donuts while she headed for her seat as if she was sleepwalking. I raised my eyebrows as she took her seat. She nearly fell right off it and onto the floor.
The blessing was offered and I began to eat, but I rarely took my eyes off Sister Eileen. She dumbly tried to raise each spoonful of stew into her mouth, but every second spoonful hit her chin where it dribbled down onto her habit. As I continued to watch, her eyes began to close. That's when I was about to witness the final effects of Dr. Wally's pills. Her head began to slowly circle and, just as she had completed the first full revolution, her face went kerplunk right into her steaming bowl.
I raced from my seat and I pulled her head out of the stew. She had a carrot firmly wedged into one of her nostrils and her mouth had a potato stuffed into it. Enough was enough! It was time for action and this time I would be the one who would accompany her to the good doctor.
The following day I arrived on Dr. Wally's doorstep with a blister-faced Sister Eileen. When the doctor finally answered the door, he took one look at Sister Eileen and he said, “Whoa!”
“Exactly!” I declared. “And the woe shall be unto you if you don't give this sister the right pill!”
“Oh!” he said with eyeballs that were nearly popping out of his head. “Maybe she would like a pretty pink pill. I call it a happy pill.”
I gave him a questioning look before I replied, “That's what we sent her here for the first time. Now just give us the pill and we'll be on our way!”
Well! It wasn't long before Sister Eileen would be swinging from the rafters. She soon announced that she was the Virgin Mary, come down from heaven in order to save the heathens. It was time to go back to Dr. Wally Wacky-Wacko again. That's when Dr. Wally decided that poor Sister Eileen was a manic-depressive and he put her on yet another medication. Shrinkaholics! What would be next?

AN EXCERPT FROM "The MISADVENTURES of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude"
Speaking of looking up, that brings me to the subject of Sister Samantha's secret. Lord, have mercy! Well now! I was extremely thirsty following my most recent week of penance on my knees in my humble little cell; so, I'd made a hasty visit to Randy Cowboy who was generous enough to give me a half gallon of Jack Daniel's.
I threw caution to the wind and I ducked into cubicle number four where I began to have a few nips. Oh, I must confess the truth. I tied one on! By the time I'd passed out, I'd managed to refresh myself with almost half of that big bottle. Oh my!
Sometime during the night, I must have slipped off the toilet and landed on the floor. I didn't wake up until the following morning; and, I must say, I had quite a headache! I also realized that I had partially slid under cubicle number three; and, I couldn't get up.
Well, wouldn't you know it, the restroom door burst open and I immediately thought that the gig was up. With my luck, I thought that it might be Mother Carmen and that I'd be sent back to my cell for another week of solitary confinement.
Fortunately, God spared me that ordeal and He had sent me an angel. It was Sister Samantha. Of course, I didn't find that out immediately. Let's just say that we both had a big surprise in store!
Well! There I was, with my head under cubicle number three, when I heard Sister Samantha singing Amazing Grace as she entered that very cubicle! Apparently, she was so moved by the Holy Spirit that she didn't even notice my head facing up toward her toilet.
I closed my eyes in reverent prayer just as she was lowering her panties. As she was preparing to sit upon her throne, her habit swished over my face which brought me to attention. I opened my eyes by reflex. Boy, did I get an eyeful and I do mean boy! Sister Samantha wasn't a woman! Lord, have mercy!
Well! It was a rather awkward situation to say the least! I had learned of Sister Samantha's incredible secret. I also needed her help. What could I do, but gently murmur, “Please help me, Sister. I've fallen and I can't get up.”
Let me tell you, Sister Samantha might not have been a woman, but she let out a high-pitched scream that sounded like a woman giving birth. She jumped off her pot and she whooshed her habit off my pleading face. If anyone else could have seen us at that very moment, I'm sure that both of our faces would have appeared beet red.
Well! If either of us had had a blackmailing bone in our bodies, we both would have had sufficient ammunition to use against the other. Suffice it to say, each of us took a higher path except Sister Samantha had the higher advantage at that moment.
Well, that little woman proved to be very strong. She grabbed me under my arms. Then she pulled me right under the partition of cubicle number three and out onto the restroom floor.
Even though I was feeling very shaky, in more ways than one, I managed to get myself up and onto my wobbly legs. Well, what could I say besides, “Thank you;” however, given the situation, it seemed that something else might be in order.
I felt rather like Little Red Riding Hood when she discovered that her grandmama was actually a wolf. The nice thing about my situation was that Sister Samantha wasn't about to eat me up. I decided right then and there that I wasn't going to give her up.
“Sister,” I said. “How did you ever pull it off?”
That's when she told me her story. You see, Sister Samantha just happened to have been born in the wrong body. She was really every bit as much of a woman as myself with one notable exception. God sure works in mysterious ways!
Sister Samantha was the most beautiful child. She was christened “Bobby O'Reilly” and she was her mother's only son. As it had turned out, he was her only daughter too.
Mother and child lived with Bobby's grandmother on the family farm. He was conceived on Christmas Eve and he was born on the harvest moon of the following year. It was a fruitful harvest, in more ways than one! He was his mother's pride and joy as well as being the favorite grandchild of his elderly grandmother. Little Samantha or, should I say, little Bobby was a perfect angel.
On his first day of school, his mother dressed him up in knickers and she sent him off to the Baptist academy in his hometown which was located in a little parish similar to our own. When he returned from school, both his mother and grandmother were in for a big surprise.
Little Bobby had discovered the academy's Good Will clothes closet and he had decided to change his outfit. When he returned to his grandmother's farm, he was wearing a dress, high heels, and he had braided his long locks into a perfect French braid.
Grandma O'Reilly chastened her daughter by exclaiming, “Whatever possessed you to send Bobby to school like that?”
Bobby's dumbfounded mother simply stared at her son and said, “I didn't!”
That was just the beginning. By the time Bobby was in high school, he had run off to the big city and he had started living as a woman. He had the most gorgeous natural female breasts and he began to receive hormone shots that made him the envy of the big city drag queens.
He named himself Samantha Monet and he decided to seek fame and fortune as a female impersonator. With his new female voice, he could hit a high C and he was soon performing in the big city clubs and making big money.
One of his favorite routines involved him dressing as a nun. It only seemed fitting since he had converted to Catholicism and he had decided that, once he'd had a taste of the world, he was going to become a nun. Sister Samantha was a smashing success as she wooed the crowds with her renditions of religious songs that soon won converts to her beloved Savior.
Sister Samantha was planning on having a sex change, but a part of her believed she was born in a man's body to teach the world a lesson in tolerance of those who are different from others. Well! Sister Samantha had already taught me a lesson!

Book Review of "The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude" By Author Davis Aujourd'hui
"The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude", September 29, 2011
**** (4Stars) By Kathleen Kelly "Celticlady" (Rhinelander, WI USA)
My Thoughts:
Hilarious, laugh out loud, must read book!! If you love humor and satire then this is the book for you. I was put off a bit by the title and I am not real religious nor Catholic but I decided, what the heck, I will give this book a chance as I like to discover new authors. "The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude" is a book told in the viewpoint of 65 year old Sister Mary Olga Fortitude who resides at the Have a Heart Convent where she teaches various religious classes. At each class she tells a story about a different resident of Bucksnort Wisconsin. Also at this convent is Father Cowberries, a priest with a passion for 'the drink' and Mother Superior Carmen Burana, who was a prostitute in a former life.. Sister Mary Olga shares the Father's passion for drink, she also loves her cigarettes, but of course she tends to clash with the Mother. A lot of the story tells us the ingenious ways she finds to slake her thirst for these vices ie. the four hole outhouse and the crucifix. The descriptions of the townsfolk and their names, Diddles Dinkledorf and Fartley Dinkledorf alone are enough to have you laughing. Put all the zany characters and their foibles together makes for a hilarious story. I found myself laughing out loud at most of the book. You absolutely have to read this book if you enjoy in your face humor. You don't have to be religious or Catholic to enjoy this book!! I highly recommend it.

LAUGH YOUR TROUBLES AWAY
Life may not be a bowl of cherries, but I am offering you some delectable desserts within my two Sister Mary Olga books. If you have an open mind and a zest for living, you will be able to laugh your troubles away. If you're in a place of joy, I will only increase it.
The irreverent Sister Mary Olga Fortitude is a nun who likes to nip her booze while she sends up smoke signals to God from her Marlboro cigarettes. She does this much to the consternation of her Reverend Mother who happens to be a reformed prostitute.
I throw into the mix a diverse cast of delightfully dysfunctional characters with whom to titillate your funny bone. Try out the dried out prudish prune, Priscilla Bunhead. She is in sharp contrast to the fun-loving gay cowboy chef, Randy Cowboy. Just wait until he finds out a secret beneath a nun's habit when he discovers that Sister Samantha isn't what she appears to be.
You'll meet the clown-like Lilliliver Lipstick who dabbles in the dirt with Priscilla. The two of them recruit an arch conservative minister named Reverend Billy-Bob Blunthead. He and his wife, Pinky Poo, bring the Born Again or Burn Forever Disciples for Jesus to Bucksnort to wipe out what they consider to be perversion.
You've got it! Priscilla and Billy-Bob don't like gay people and there are plenty of gay characters with whom they tangle. Priscilla gets her panties in an uproar only to find that her crusade backfires on her when the townspeople of Bucksnort come out in support of their gay brothers and sisters.
You'll relate to the foibles of my cast as you learn to laugh at your own.
Take a joy ride to Bucksnort.
Visit Amazon.com where you can purchase "The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude" and "Babes in Bucksnort".
Just be prepared to get your own panties into an uproar.
Enjoy the journey!

Unforgettable Fun & Laughter in Bucksnort!, Book Review By Author Jennifer Chase

Review By Author: Jennifer Chase "Author of Dead Game & Compulsion" (San Jose, CA)
Rating: ***** (5 out of 5 stars)
Book: "Babes in Bucksnort": Sister Mary Olga Fortitude Book 2 (Paperback)
You won't be disappointed with "Babes in Bucksnort" because all of the outrageous, fun-loving characters are back in book #2 at the steady direction of loveable, chain-smoking, bourbon drinking Sister Mary Olga. She has taught readers, along with her town of parishioners of course, that sometimes it's important to take a good look at ourselves in order to make a positive change.
There seems to be conflict brewing in Bucksnort due to the range of truly unforgettable characters and their diverse activities. This time, Priscilla Bunhead along with her group of town nosey busybodies with the help from Reverend Billy-Bob Blunthead are determined to run out of town who they feel are perverts and undesirables. Following, is outrageous behavior and fun filled chapters that will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next.
Aujourdi'hu has managed to create a satire series that will definitely give you mountains of smiles and giggles, but he has also masterfully woven important teachings of kindness, forgiveness, and true acceptance. The characters are vivid and it's highly unlikely you'll forget their names any time soon. There's a delicate balance of satire and reality that I feel that "Babes in Bucksnort" has accomplished perfectly.
If you want a fast weekend or afternoon read that's guaranteed to make you laugh, I recommend "Babes in Bucksnort".
I look forward to the next installment to see what Sister Mary Olga has in store for her and the town of Bucksnort.

SPRING INTO BUCKSNORT
Spring is here. The sap is flowing and the temperatures are rising. Your temperature will rise when you spring into the fictional town of Bucksnort. There, you will meet some memorable characters with whom to further warm your hearts through the gift of laughter.
Start your journey with "The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude". Then continue to laugh your pants off with "Babes in Bucksnort". My zany characters are meant to purely entertain, though you will encounter nuggets of wisdom along the way.
Sister Mary Olga loves her bourbon and her Marlboros, but she also loves to teach classes in Advanced Holiness. Not all of her students embrace her teaching. The lecherous Poopsy Dinkledorf is constantly making passes at her other female students. Meanwhile, his great grandson, Fartley, causes an uproar in her Beginner's classes while he takes perverse pleasure in passing gas.
The ornery town prude, Priscilla Bunhead, wouldn't be caught alive in any of Sister Mary Olga's classes. She has her mind made up about everything. The poor dear wears her hair in the most unbecoming hairstyle. It is tied up in a tight little bun at the back of her head. It's so tight that her mind is closed shut like a steel trap.
She finds others who like to have someone else do their thinking for them when she founds an organization called BUN – Bunheads Unite Now. Together with the Reverend Billy-Bob Blunthead and his Born Again or Burn Forever Disciples for Jesus, they embark on a mission of judgment. Through the use of fear, they trap other vulnerable souls in a spider's web of delusion.
The characters are zany and the situations are outrageous. You will encounter one hilarious misadventure after another. Take a break from your cares and enjoy an escape. Visit Amazon.com where you can purchase both books in either paperback or kindle format.
You'll be glad you did!

CELEBRATING JOY
I can't think of anything more important to a person than maintaining consistent moments of joy. After all, life is short and hopefully sweet. It is up to each of you to make the most of it. Why not reach for your joy? It's much better than the alternative.
It's all too easy to make excuses. “My husband or wife doesn't love me. I'm depressed. I got cut off by that obnoxious driver.” The key is to detach from whatever might get you down and to celebrate every moment. After all, the present moment is all that is guaranteed.
It is the present moment where everything occurs. It is a matter of practicing awareness of this moment in order to be able to appreciate the joy within your life. As you do so, your joy will be increased. This is one of the spiritual laws of the universe. Whether it is joy, love, or abundance that you seek, appreciation of that quality will attract more of the same to you.
If you are not in a place where you feel joy, you need to reach for it. Unfortunately, you can't jump from the lowest rung of the ladder to the top in one step. Just keep reaching for the next best feeling. If you are feeling anger, reach for forgiveness. From there, you can reach for reconciliation. Just experience each feeling, then let it go. Continue to climb that ladder until you have reached the top.
I find it helpful to focus on gratitude in order to bring me to a place of joy. I think about the abundance of blessings in my life in order to reach that level of appreciation. Then I can free myself to feel joy. You can do it too!
The beautiful thing about joy is that it is contagious. By staying in a place of joy, you can pass on that blessing to others. Joy multiplies in ever-increasing quantities. After all, it is said it's no good unless you pass it on. Cherish the moment and share your joy with others. That will help you and them cultivate other feelings of good will that will lead everyone to a better place. They, too, can pass it on.
Imagine casting a stone upon the water. The ripples will spread outward until they reach the surrounding shores. This is what will happen when you pass it on. Ripples of joy will spread outward, touching every person who experiences the feeling and then passes it on. As I have said before, joy attracts more joy as it multiplies exponentially.
Choose not to allow anything to take you from that place. You are deserving of every beautiful blessing. That is all the universe wants for you. The Source of your being is a loving and benevolent One. There is nothing that you need to do in order to earn a sense of well-being. There is great love here for you. Open yourself to it. You deserve it!
Continue to affirm that which you want to possess. Claim it now. The moment is happening and you are a co-creator of your own experience. Do not be an observer of life. Be a participant. You are the one who can make it happen!

DISCOVER YOUR PERSONAL FOIBLES WHILE YOU LAUGH YOURSELF AWAY

Surely you've heard it said that laughter is the best medicine. Yet, sometimes, taking a look at yourself isn't so funny. You may discover some characteristics that seem less than laughable. That doesn't have to be the case.
I am an author of a series of books designed to help their readers not take life so seriously. I have done this by creating memorably and delightfully dysfunctional characters to whom we can all relate. Just as is the case with all of us, we each have our light and our dark sides. The challenge is to come to a place of acceptance by embracing all that we are. As we do so, we can nurture those characteristics that we wish to possess and to let go of those which no longer serve us.
The important thing is to be gentle with ourselves. We can do this by learning to laugh at our personal foibles as we come to a place of acceptance. By using the spiritual approach of unconditional love, we will be on the pathway to a happier and healthier life.
It isn't easy! Getting honest with yourself is a challenge and you cannot do it alone. That's why it is important to surround ourselves with others who can help guide us on our journey in a loving manner.
I have created a series of satires with a spiritual message. They are about a wayward nun named Sister Mary Olga Fortitude who loves her bourbon and her Marlboros. Amidst a sea of her own dysfunction, she dispenses spiritual nuggets of wisdom and plenty of laughs as she introduces you to characters like her Reverend Mother (a reformed prostitute), the convent's chef (a gay cowboy), and the town prude and busybody, Priscilla Bunhead.
Priscilla is a nasty woman who doesn't have a nice thing to say about anyone who thinks differently from herself. She also manages to bring out the dark sides of characters such as the irascible Martha Mayhem and the haughty Lula Mae Bunsaplenty. Your journey to the fictional town of Bucksnort, Wisconsin will introduce you to many other deliciously zany characters who you will come to love and hate.
Just be careful with your judgments. This is where the task of self-examination comes into play. Anytime you find something disagreeable within another, it's time to take a look at what that is all about. Oftentimes, you will come to discover that you possess those very characteristics that you are judging. That's when it's time to laugh at the characters and yourself. You'll have plenty of opportunities to do this in The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude and Babes in Bucksnort.
Go ahead and have a good laugh. Then take time to consider how you can practice awareness in your life. Whenever you want to react to something or someone, it's time to take a look in the mirror to see what you can do to change yourself. That takes work. The good news is that you've got an entire lifetime to do that.
The other good news is that the side-splitting laughs don't end with my first two books. Many more books in the series are in the works. Treat yourself to a joyride that will also provide you with some food for thought. You will laugh from the first page until the last. Enjoy your journey to Bucksnort and the more important journeys of your own lives.

Chase Away Those Winter Blues

Winter got you down? Feeling a case of those seasonal depressive blues? I've got the antidote for you. I'll have you laughing and your spirits shining within the first five pages of either of my books. Take a joy ride to Bucksnort with the naughty nun who likes her booze and her Marlboros – Sister Mary Olga .
"The Misadventures of Sister Mary Olga Fortitude" is a hilarious narrative dispensed by the irreverent nun who isn't an advocate for the pope. She's got her own brand of spirituality and will sprinkle nuggets of wisdom amidst a multitude of zany scenarios. You'll be introduced to the cast of diverse and deliciously dysfunctional characters of Bucksnort, Wisconsin as you enter a wonderland filled with people you'll grow to love and love to hate.
The Reverend Mother is a former prostitute and a continual thorn in Sister Mary Olga's habits. Gay chef, Randy Cowboy, is one of the gay and lesbian characters who take a ride on the wild side along with some of their more straight-laced townspeople. There is nothing joyful about the town prude, Priscilla Bunhead. Her specialty is digging in the dirt and there's plenty of that to be found in Bucksnort. I like to season my book with spice like the cowboy chef seasons his food and sex life.
"Babes in Bucksnort" will take you on a continuing adventure which will introduce you to characters like the pothead zombie psychiatrist, Dr. Wally Wacky-Wacko. Dr. Wally doesn't exactly have a thriving practice, but he likes to practice his profession upon the unsuspecting who don't necessarily fare for the better from his pretty colored pills.
You'll meet a nun with a secret beneath her habit, a young heiress with a botched facelift which gives her a perpetual look of amazement, and a haughty African-American queen who gives her elderly paramour, Jules Jesllike Pappas, a run for his money.
You'll meet Priscilla Bunhead's newest neighbor and impressionable convert, Lilliliver Lipstick. The little girl in a woman's body doesn't know the first thing about grooming or makeup. She paints clown-like circles on her pasty face and wears bright red lipstick while coloring her hair an unappealing shade of dishwater blond. Priscilla soon has Lilliliver wearing her hair in a tight little bun. This only serves to constrict her already closed mind.
The two of them become alarmed as more gay people come out of the closet. That's when they seek help from the charismatic and arch conservative Reverend Billy-Bob Blunthead and his Born Again or Burn Forever Disciples for Jesus. Their bumbling and misguided efforts only serve to heighten the consciousness of people who are ready to open their minds and embrace the diversity of humanity.
Just don't think that I keep a serious tone to my books for long. My specialty is to continue to tickle your funny bone so that you'll be jumping out of your seats with whoops of laughter. My books are a cross between the humor of Armistead Maupin, Carl Hiassen, and Garrison Keillor.
At this point in the season, you may think that winter will never end. I offer you two joy-filled gifts that will help move the time more quickly when you think another gray day will never end. Be prepared to be royally entertained. Order both books from Amazon.com and receive free shipping and handling. You won't be disappointed for long when you're through because there are many more chronicles from Bucksnort yet to come.
Hope You all enjoy, looks like a long winter ahead of us!
